The series consists of nine different test pages from various inkjet printers, reproduced as handmade screenprints with up to 15 colours.

The screen prints shown by Ruben Aubrecht were designed by various inket printers or at least by their programmers. They are test images that exist primarily as code in the machine and whose function is limited to testing the setting and condition of the print heads. They follow a purely functional logic, which should help the viewer to recognise possible incorrect settings at first glance. Ruben Aubrecht probably sees it differently. His look at these pictures does not follow this functional logic. He perceives them for what they inadvertently are, abstract images of the highest aesthetic quality. (...)
